3 weddings.
3 months.
And, I'm broke.
My friend, Lauren, got married in September in Dallas.
Our co-worker/friend, Jancey, got married in October.
And, last night, our former co-workers/really good friends, Brandis & Jason got married.
Luckily, the last 2 weddings were in Arkansas, so no traveling involved.
Matt & I met Brandis & Jason about 4 years ago when they started working at our TV station, as reporters.
About a year after they started dating, Jason got another job in another state. Brandis tried FOREVER to get a job in that same area. When she finally did, she'd been there about 3 months when Jason's company made some cut backs & let him go. About 3 months after that, they both got new jobs in yet another state & have now been there for about a year.
They got married here, though, because it was kind of like a half-way point for both of their families.
A few months ago, Brandis asked me to be a Hostess. I accepted, of course.
One of my jobs was to put together 48 of these "Welcome to Arkansas" bags for the hotel to give out to all the out of town guests. In the bags were 6 brochures of things to do, a pencil, 2 water bottles & some snacks. You can't see it here, but I tied each bag with silver & purple ribbon.
Anyway, so the wedding was last night & it was beautiful. The ceremony was outside, in front the Old Statehouse Museum. The reception was at the Arkansas Arts Center.
Brandis & Jason "jumping" over the broom to symbolize a "leap" into their future.
Me & Brandis at the reception. Isn't she so pretty?
Cutting the cake.
The bride & groom.
I think you know who these people are.
Ryan, Cara, Justin, Cecillea (she was also a Hostess) & Shannon.
Me & Karstyn. She's the daughter of one of our news anchors.
Me & Michael. He used to be the Chief Photographer at our station. Matt took over his job when he left.
Matt & Karstyn. She would open her mouth & either try to bite his nose or give him a big kiss.

You look lovely, as do the happy couple. One of the books I am working on is how to look good on a budget. I'll scoot one over the pond to you when I'm done :0)
