What President?
The big vote this year has nothing to do with electing a new leader for our country.
No, Internet.
This year's Big Vote has to with Matt's new haircut.
It's no secret (he'll even admit it)...his hair is thinning, especially on top. I wouldn't go as far as to say he's self-conscious about it, but I think it's something he wishes wasn't happening.
He keeps telling me he wants to shave it all off, but he's afraid he'll have some weird bump or dent in his head that would show up if he didn't have any hair there.
So, you can imagine my surprise today, when we went to the mall to get his haircut & he told the lady to use a "one" on the clippers (I think a "one" is the shortest you can go without shaving it all off).
He made NO MENTION of this to me in the car, nor did he mention this while we were eating lunch in the food court.
It was only when his name was called that he quickly tells me,
"I'mgoingtohavehercutmyhairwithaone."
What?
Yep.
And, really, it's not like he needed my permission or anything because he doesn't. It's his hair & if he wants it short, that's totally fine with me. I mean he doesn't tell me how to do my hair.
However, that doesn't mean I have to like it, right?
I'll admit, when I saw him for the first time after the lady cut it, I thought to myself, "Uh-oh. What did you do?", but after looking at it for the past 5 hours, it's starting to grow on me.
We both think that when it grows out just a little bit, it'll look really good.
But, what do we know, right?
That's why we (ok, I) decided to ask you for your opinion.
The Great Hair Debate of 2008:
BEFORE:
Okay.
Your 4 choices are:
1. Before
2. After
3. In-Between
4. Undecided
Just leave your vote/opinion in the comment section.
And, just to make your life a little brighter, here's a picture of Maisy.
Her only request is that you send Fruit Loops, cheese, powdered donuts & chocolate milk.
(Oh, remind me to post about her weight loss class).

Well I'd have to vote for #2 because my hubby keeps his hair cut that short, too. Well, almost that short. The new 'do looks great! And cute shot of Maisy!
God bless :)
From someone who's husband will NOT cut his hair (it's longer than mine!) I will go with the after. I like that short look. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I used to date military men. LOL...not that I'm thinking of Matt in that sense. He looked okay with it before though too.
Maisy is in a weight loss class? Yes, do post about that! I am interested.
But. My vote for Matt's hair is AFTER. :)
Ummm, Probably before:(
Well, honestly, I like the before. I'm not a fan of the after, but I agree that it will probably look really good once it grows back a little. So, 1 & 3. :)
I would say that I like 1 and 2, but you will likely end up like it at 3... In-between. I am always a little shocked at how short my husband's hair looks when he gets it cut (just this Saturday he did, actually) but then at a few weeks later, I like it, then when it gets too long, I can't wait for him to cut it again. Sorry that was pretty vague... I'm no help!
Haha! It's starting to "grow" on you! Great pun!
Um, I think I like before. With his hair still light, you can't tell that it's receeding as much.
The "after" doesn't look bad, though. Jim gets his cut short and I always like feeling how fuzzy it is when he gets home. :)
I love the short hair, much like Jay's. The in-between stage is really nice, feels good when I run my fingers over it!
I like it in both ways!?? I can't decide...
I pick 3. When my hubby gets his haircut, it always looks better a few days later.
BUT it doesn't look bad!!
My hubby's thinning on top too, so I'm bracing myself for the day heletshercutitwithaone!
Oh, Ian does this all the time! I can't stand it when he shaves his head. Honestly, I like bald guys, or guys with a shaved head, but for some reason I just hate it on him, lol. I like him with very short hair, but more like a fresh out of boot camp look...not the about to be commited look, lol.
Matt looks great either way. I guess my vote would be for an in between though.
What's your opinion? You didn't tell us what you thought of it...
I'm with majority vote, I guess inbetween won't be too bad looking. Not that before or after is bad, but who know what next week or so may change it to. . .*shrugs*
He needs to go see Amanda Ipsen! She'll give him a look that fits his hair (receding, texture, etc.) and suits his face. I'll find her number! She's changed salons since I lived there, and now I think she works downtown.

Call her! If she can make her husband look good, she can make anyone look good! (just kidding- her hubby is my friend, and he said it first, actually)
I like it short and it will be so so easy! More important how does he feel?!
